The structure and public interface are based (somewhat loosely) on the java.util.zip package. The streams created to access the individual entries in a Zip file are based on the standard iostream library. Additional features include- support for embedding of a zip file in another file, e.g. a binary executable - Handling of a mix of ordinary directories and zip files through the same interface as a single zip file directory is handled through. In effect a simple virtual filesystem where ordinary directories and zipfiles can be mounted The library is released under the GNU Lesser General Public License (LGPL).
